Character
Merrick Garland
Merrick Garland is the Attorney General of the United States and the prosecutorial arm of the defense of the dollar. His jurisprudence holds that monetary education is a threat to the monetary system’s foundation — a position he states without apparent awareness of what it concedes.
Arc history
Garland announced the arrest of G. Edward Griffin in January 2023, explaining that Griffin’s “attempts to educate the public on the way the monetary system works in unacceptable and is a danger to its foundation,” and that the DOJ was “partnering with the Treasury Department to prevent further erosion of public trust.” He cited Griffin’s book The Creature from Jekyll Island as the main catalyst and warned that other educators are at risk of prosecution. “There is no room for dollar fed and undermining the source of government funding,” he concluded, in a sentence the DOJ did not copyedit (G. Edward Griffin Charged With Attempt To Incite Bank Run).
