Compass Mining is a well-known player in the mining industry and the US State Department’s chosen rollout partner for Jason Lowery‘s Softwar initiative.

The company was selected, per the March 2023 announcement, “due to their reputation for winning customer battles and helping the industry mine in a timely matter.” Head of Communications Janet Smith welcomed the assignment: “At Compass Mining, we pride ourselves on our ability to help our customers succeed, and we’re confident that we can do the same with Softwar” (State Department Announces Partnership with Compass Mining). The partnership is the opening beat of the Softwar rollout; the defense technology has no launch date.
